What this course covers

You will develop the practical knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to succeed in housing and property management. This includes understanding key housing legislation and landlord responsibilities, tenancy agreements, and the legal frameworks that underpin the sector.

You will learn how to manage tenancies effectively, coordinate property maintenance, and support residents to sustain successful tenancies. The programme also covers working with communities, handling complex situations such as anti-social behaviour or rent management, and maintaining accurate records in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.

Alongside technical knowledge, you will build strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills, preparing you to work confidently with tenants, colleagues and external partners to deliver high-quality housing services.

You will be assessed through a combination of practical, work-based activities designed to demonstrate your competence in a real housing or property management role. This includes completing a portfolio of evidence throughout the programme, followed by an end-point assessment made up of a work-based project and a professional discussion (interview/viva).

Your final assessment will test both your knowledge and ability to apply it in practice, ensuring you can confidently perform the role to industry standards.
