Our college

It starts with you

Your goals, your future and your next step matter.

At Barnet and Southgate College, we connect you with the skills, confidence and opportunities to move forward. Whether you are choosing what to do after school, preparing for university, starting your career or returning to learning, we will help you find a route that works for you.

Our purpose is simple: to change lives, empower individuals and connect communities.

Build the skills for what comes next

We offer academic, vocational and professional education, including A levels, T Levels, apprenticeships and specialist training. Our courses cover areas such as aviation, healthcare, creative media and digital technologies.

You will develop knowledge and practical skills that can support your next step. That could be university, employment, an apprenticeship, career progression or a new direction.

Our approach is shaped by the changing needs of students, employers and communities. We work with employers, industry and local organisations so that learning remains connected to regional opportunity and the skills people need

A college connected to North London

You can study at our campuses in Barnet, Southgate, Colindale and Edmonton Green. Each campus is part of a wider College community that welcomes people from different backgrounds, experiences and starting points.

Wherever you begin, you will be encouraged to build your confidence, discover new possibilities and work towards goals that matter to you.

Learning that looks ahead

Our vision is to be the leading provider of high-quality learning and skills development in North London. We aim to create exceptional educational experiences, support regional growth and serve as a strategic partner for business and industry.

That means looking ahead. We focus on relevant skills, innovation and strong connections with employers and communities, while giving you the support you need to succeed.

You belong here

Education should open doors.

We want every student to feel welcomed, respected and able to take part. Our College brings people together and creates opportunities for students, employers and local organisations to contribute to stronger communities. This reflects the new brand commitment to changing lives, empowering individuals, connecting communities and being ready for what comes next.
