Advanced Learner Loans Bursary
If you have an approved Advanced Learner Loan, you may be able to apply for additional help with eligible costs that could otherwise make it difficult to attend or complete your course. The bursary is discretionary and is separate from the loan itself.
What this support can help with
- Travel
- Meals, where applicable
- Essential books, equipment, materials, course kits or uniform
- Laptop loan, where approved
- Childcare, where eligible
- Accommodation in exceptional circumstances
- Approved learning support for a disability or learning difficulty
Who can apply
You must meet the current Advanced Learner Loan Bursary rules, including the approved loan, course, age, residence and financial criteria. You will need to provide the evidence specified in the current guidance.
How to apply
- Enrol on your course.
- Make sure your Advanced Learner Loan evidence is available.
- Register or sign in to Pay My Student.
- Complete the application and upload the required evidence.
- Submit your application.
What happens next
We will assess your application and email you with the outcome. You can also check your application status through Pay My Student.
