‘World Builders’ – the school holiday course in Games Design that the college has been promoting – is now up and running. This summer we had a small group of young learners in, forming the introductory skills to building their own Video Games. This was an initial ‘pilot version’ of the 4-day course providing constructive extra-curricular activities for local young people during holiday time and which introduces the college to children that may even go on to become full-time students here in the future.

Working hard over the four days, the young students were all able to complete the course taking away their own self-created, fully playable game, as well as a newly developed skillset that introduced them to the world of designing the kind of games they all enjoy playing so much. A big thank you to the course tutor Adrian Joseph for his teaching, patience and technical skills during the four days as well as the creation of the course.

We hope to be able to run future iterations of the ‘World Builders’ course in future college holidays.
