What qualifications or experience do I need?
You must be working in a suitable administrative or business support role that allows you to demonstrate the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) of the apprenticeship standard. This programme is designed for individuals starting their career in administration or those looking to develop foundational workplace skills. GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4 (or equivalent) are preferred.
What will I study ?
You will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to carry out routine administrative tasks that support business operations. This includes learning how to organise information, manage data, and support day-to-day administrative activities within an organisation. You will learn how to use digital systems and software to input, manage and retrieve data, communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and support meetings, events and team activities. Alongside technical skills, you will develop key workplace behaviours such as communication, attention to detail, time management and teamwork, enabling you to work effectively within a structured business environment.
How will I be assessed ?
You will be assessed through a combination of work-based learning and practical activities, building a portfolio of evidence throughout the programme to demonstrate your competence. The end-point assessment will confirm that you can carry out administrative tasks effectively and support organisational operations in a real work environment.
