Barnet and Southgate College Announces Elite Academic and Sporting Partnership with Boreham Wood Football Club

Barnet and Southgate College is proud to announce a dynamic new partnership with Boreham Wood Football Club to deliver world-class education alongside professional-standard training. Starting in September 2026, the College will become the official education provider for the Club’s prestigious PASE (Programme for Academic and Sporting Excellence) Academy. 

Through this collaboration, academy players will have access to a bespoke curriculum featuring BTEC Sport and some A Level qualifications, ensuring that young athletes develop the "Employability Edge" both on and off the pitch. This partnership aligns directly with the College’s 2030 Vision, which seeks to build "Sustainable, Purposeful Partnerships" that empower individuals and connect local communities. 

A Growing Powerhouse for Sporting Excellence

This partnership marks a significant expansion of the College’s reputation as a premier destination for student-athletes. Boreham Wood FC joins an elite roster of partners within the College’s growing Sporting Academies programme, which already features world-renowned collaborations with Tottenham Hotspur and the Juventus Football Academy London. Beyond the football pitch, the College continues to cement its status as a regional hub for sports, providing elite-level coaching and pathways for students in Athletics, Boxing, Basketball, Tennis and Volleyball.

This diverse offer ensures that regardless of the discipline, student-athletes at Barnet and Southgate College receive professional-grade training integrated seamlessly with their academic studies.

We developed 27 England College Internationals and had players who went on to play in the Premier League and at the last FIFA World Cup. Those are all things we’ll chase again and see what happens.
