Free College Meals

The College receives funds from the Department for Education (DfE) to provide a free meal on the days students are timetabled to attend education.

Students aged between 16 and 18, or 19 to 25 before 31st August, with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) may be entitled to free college meals, if they meet the eligibility criteria

To receive free college meals whilst studying at Barnet and Southgate College, students must complete an online application via the Pay My Student Portal and submit the correct evidence as proof of their household income.

The Free College Meals fund is paid to students as an in-kind payment. Free College Meals are accessible to students directly from the college canteen.
