19+ Learner Support Fund

You may be able to receive financial support to help towards:

• Travel 
• Course fees
• Trips
• Course costs (books, equipment, materials, laptop loan, course kits, uniform)
• One off costs for accommodation or
• Fees for membership to professional bodies associated to your qualification
• Childcare Costs (maximum £200.00 per week)

To be eligible for the 19+ Discretionary Learner Support Funding, students must be in receipt of means tested benefits and/or with a household income of £27,295 or below.

To receive funding, students must be enrolled on a course that is a minimum of 3 hours per week over 4 weeks and be a ‘Home’ or a ‘European Economic Area’ student.

Students must also:

• be aged 19 or above on 31st August
• be studying towards a level 2 qualification or below
• have their own bank account to receive payment

To ensure a weekly payment, students must have a minimum of 80% attendance each week and meet the standards of behaviour and effort agreed at the start of the course.
