Content

Run in partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, the team of qualified academy coaches from the Club will deliver the coaching and technical football components of the programme, ensuring a detailed programme that incorporates The FA’s 4 Corner Model in order to develop a player’s individual Technical/Tactical, Psychological, Social and Physical abilities.

All coaching staff have appropriate FA qualifications in football, are emergency first aid trained, and are CRB checked. Coaches from Tottenham Hotspur also work within the Club's Academy and Development Centre.

As part of this programme, players will have access to:

-      A high quality study programme, encompassing the main sports qualification

-      English and maths

-       Employability skills

-      Sport National Governing Body Coaching awards

-       Three sessions of football a week, including a fixture programme

Students will have lessons at the Southgate Campus and receive training at Coles Park Stadium – home to the semi-professional Bostik League club, Haringey Borough FC. Students will also have occasional access to sessions at Tottenham Hotspur’s state-of-the-art Training Centre over the duration of the year.

Transport will be provided for learners to and from all of the above facilities free of charge. Learners who enrol on the course will be required to sign a code of conduct, and will not be allowed to train or play football unless they are up-to-date with their academic commitments.

Additional benefits of the programme include a full-time team of physiotherapists who will deliver clinic sessions, and free access to the college’s performance gym with strength and conditioning support available for players.

The programme services fixtures for a variety of levels; from an elite squad competing at college level in national competitions, through to a development squad competing more locally, and levels in between these. Students will often progress between all squads during the course of the academic year, dependent upon form, fitness and ability. All squads are entered into suitable leagues and cup competitions, ensuring that there are enough games for all players, and at the right level.
