Students will consider what is meant by mental health, well-being and recovery. Topics covered will include: causes, symptoms and treatments of a variety of mental health problems, cognitive behavioural techniques, mindfulness, emotional self-management and assertiveness. The class will also include social trips and activities and the exact content and structure of the course will be agreed with input from class members.
