For adults aged 19+ recovering from mental health conditions and at a stage in their recovery where they are able to benefit from being and studying at college. The applicants should be ready to make a commitment to the course, attend regularly and be able to cope with the college environment. This course is an optional module in the Community Link programme. Students are expected to choose a selection of modules to make up a full programme, however all students on Community Link will be required to attend one Core Module session.

No formal qualifications or experience are required.

A Functional Skills IT class for students who want to begin improving their IT skills. This course will help develop your computer skills in a variety of everyday contexts, learning about Microsoft Word. Some work on email and a general introduction to the internet is also covered.

Functional Skills exam at entry level. Students can take the exam in Spring and Summer term.

Yes - an informal interview. You will also need to take a short literacy assessment.

Students may wish to buy their own USB stick.
