The course is for anyone who wishes to teach post-16 year olds in the life long learning sector. It is available to both pre and in service tutors, trainers or instructors.

You need to demonstrate Level 2 in literacy and be qualified in the subject you wish to teach. No prior teaching/training experience is required.

The course programme covers: 1. Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training; 2. Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training; 3.. Understanding assessment in education and training.

You will be assessed through micro-teach assignment work and units as above.

On successful completion of this course students will achieve a Level 3 Award in Education & Training.

Please complete an application form and return to the College - either online, by post or in person at the Wood Street Campus. An invitation to interview will then follow.

Yes. All applicants will need to meet with a member of staff for an interview and a literacy assessment with an outcome of at least Level 2.

Students will have to purchase study materials, which will be discussed at interview.
