This course is for men and women aiming to work in the make-up industry as a freelance makeup artist or working for a make-up company.

Applicants must have the following: GCSEs grade A-D (7/8 - 3) in English, maths and art and a satisfactory reference. Good manual dexterity and good oral communication are also essential for this course.

Creative makeup and hairstyling, makeup application, anatomy and physiology, research and design, industry knowledge.

Both practical and theory areas will be assessed via practical assessments, written tests and assignments and verbal questioning. A portfolio of makeup design and application are also a key part of assessment.

On successful completion of all assessment requirements a Level 2 Technical Certificate in Makeup Artistry will be awarded.

Please complete an application form and return to the College - either online, by post or in person. Successful applicants will then be called to interview.

Yes, you will have to meet with a member of staff for an interview and initial assessment.

A uniform, tools and equipment are required. Further advice will be given at interview. An optional text book is also recommended.

This course is ideal for people who wish to have a career in the makeup industry.
