Are you planning to set up or are currently running a small business? This course could be for you; it combines distance learning with classroom-based teaching in a flexible appoach that maximises your time. You will be given practical advice on setting up and developing a small business.

No prior qualifications are necessary, but enthusiasm and drive to pursue your own business plans are a must.

You will study everything you need to know about starting a small business: marketing and selling, legislation and regulation, putting together a business plan, research, completing documentation for cashflow, report-writing and presentation skills, as well as sound practical advice on achieving a successful start-up.

You will be assessed through coursework, specifically linked to your own small business start-up.

On successful completion of this course you will receive a Barnet and Southgate College certificate.

Please complete an application form and return it to the College - either online, by post or in person at the Wood Street Campus.

Yes, you will need to meet a member of staff for a brief interview and an initial assessment.
