We use the top training facilities at Conference South side Boreham Wood Football Club located at Meadow Park, as well as having the use of Barnet and Southgate College's Gym facilities
Boreham Wood Football Club is based on the borders of Hertfordshire and North London. This site is very accessible by public transport and is a 25 minute journey from London St Pancras to Borehamwood and Elstree rail station using First Capital Connect. It is also accessible by bus using the 107 and 292 bus routes.
At Boreham Wood FC’s Meadow Park home there are 6 education suites, an onsite computer lab, and a fully equipped gymnasium, which includes running and rowing machines, bikes, peck dec, bench rack and weights, leg press, leg curl, power cable pulley machine, and all varieties of free weights. All classrooms are spacious and kitted out with high-tech smart boards.
There are a range of courses available as part of the College partnership.
Boreham Wood FC also have a 3rd generation astro-turf pitch that will be used for the majority of training sessions, as well as for some in-house and competitive matches. 3rd generation astro-turf allows sessions to go ahead whatever the weather conditions, and provides a consistent surface that is doesn't affect how the game is played like sometimes waterlogged or bumpy pitches do.
The 3rd generation pitch is the same as the one approved by governing bodies FIFA, UEFA and The FA, and used in International, Champions League, Europa League and Non-League matches. To accompany the astro pitch, there are 6 Football League standard changing rooms to accommodate the high volume of training sessions and matches played on a weekly basis.
In July 2017, Arsene Wenger OBE and Ivan Gazidis opened Boreham Wood’s new Premier League standard, million pound Desso pitch and surrounding features.
As well as the DESSO surface, the club have also installed new floodlights and Premier League standard dugouts. Other pitch renovations included new drainage and an irrigation.
The pitch at Meadow Park currently host Arsenal Under 23’s Premier League, Under 19’s Champions League, and Under 18’s FA Youth Cup games, as well as being the home for Arsenal Women for the past decade. In previous years we have also hosted Watford’s Reserve team.
Our groundsman Daniel Hunter has frequently been recognised as one of the best groundsman in Non-League football at the yearly FA groundsman awards. Daniel has also been a large part of the match day grounds staff at Wembley Stadium.
As well as the new Desso pitch, the club also built a new 5th Generation Astro Turf. The Astro Turf is home to both the first team and all of the Boreham Wood youth teams. The surface is used for the majority of training sessions, as well as for in-house and competitive matches. The new 5th generation Astro-turf allows sessions to go ahead whatever the weather, and provides a consistent surface that doesn’t affect how the game is played, like a waterlogged or uneven pitches would.
The 5th generation pitch is the same as the one approved by governing bodies FIFA, UEFA and The FA, and used in International, Champions League, Europa League and Non-League matches. To accompany the Astro pitch, there are six Football League standard changing rooms to accommodate the high volume of training sessions and matches played on a weekly basis.

These classrooms are primarily used by our education provider Barnet and Southgate College to deliver the courses our students are enrolled in, but also the classrooms are fully installed with interactive whiteboards as seen on Sky Sports that are used by our coaches to analyse games interactively and help our players with their tactical knowledge.
At Boreham Wood Football Club we have a recreation room for our students studying onsite, and for players before and after training sessions and matches to sit back and relax. The rec room is fully equipped with tables, stools, sofas and televisions that are installed with Sky TV. The bar is open all day for students to buy soft drinks, hot drinks, meal deals and other confectionary such as crisps, chocolate etc.
