Work Skills Training for JCP advisors
Barnet College is the main provider of Work Focused Training in North London.
This web page is designed to inform JCP Advisors about the scope of our training and what you should do if you have a client you need to refer to Work Skills Training . We aim to make the referral process as simple as possible and welcome suggestions for improving the service.

Our Training
Our training courses are repeated regularly throughout the year and we will keep you updated on start dates and new courses through regularly communications via email, leaflets and on this website.
We are very flexible in our approach; therefore if there is an increased demand for a particular programme we will increase the regularity of that training. Similarly, if you notice a demand for training that we are not currently fulfilling, please let us know and we will endeavour to provide that course for your clients.

What should you do if you want to refer a client to Work Skills Training?
- Identify the type of work your client is looking for, discuss possible training opportunities
- Phone or email the appropriate contact person at Barnet College, which you will find on this leaflet next to the details of the course
- Make an appointment for your client to come in and see and an Advisor at Barnet College
