Diamond Jubilee fever hit Barnet and Southgate College with different departments organising activities in the run up to the Holiday Weekend
The LLDD (Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities) Department kicked off the Diamond Jubilee celebrations by hosting a lunch party in the garden of the Grahame Park Campus on Wednesday 30 May.
Students and staff were welcomed to the party by a dance performance of the "Lambeth Walk", performed by the Express Yourself group, followed by a royal treasure hunt.
Each guest recieved a royal cup cake, which was produced in collaboration between the Home Skills group and the Catering and Hospitality Department .
As the party came to an end, Head of Supported Learning Charles Nelson led a toast to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on her Diamond Jubilee.
Elsewhere on the Grahame Park Campus, staff and students from The Salon , the College's hairdressing facility, dressed in red white and blue for the whole week leading up to the Holiday Weekend. The corridors of the newly-decorated Salon were decorated with Union Jack bunting and everyone got into the Diamond Jubilee spirit.
