Now in its sixth year the Entrepreneurial Barnet Competition organised by Middlesex University, London Borough of Barnet Council and Barnet and Southgate College, offers students and local entrepreneurs the opportunity to be coached by business experts and showcase their ideas to win cash prizes of up to £3,000
If you have an idea for a business or a new start-up that is less than two years old and you would you like the opportunity to win cash prizes and support for your business then you are eligible to apply. Entries must fit in to one of the following three competition categories:

The competition is in three stages with the intention of identifying and developing the very best ideas.
Stage 1: The Elevator Pitch
Applicants have two minutes to pitch their idea to independent judges. Successful candidates progress through to the next round.
Stage 2: The Plan
Contestants are asked to compete a 'Business Model Canvas'. These will be assessed by judges and three finalists will be chosen.
Stage 3: The Final
Contestants go head to head and pitch in front of a live audience and panel of expert judges.

Please note: these are ticketed events, and you MUST register to compete. To be eligible you will need to be a: Middlesex University undergraduate, postgraduate student or recent alumni, a Barnet and Southgate College student or a Barnet resident with a business idea or a business start-up of less than two years old. Applicants must also have the right to work in the UK, have not entered the competition in previous years and if your business is already established; it must be two years or under.
