LLDD Centre of Excellence

Our brand new centre of excellence is now OPEN!

This pioneering venture for North London opened in September 2014 and is the first purpose-built college centre in the area providing specialist education facilities which are totally dedicated to the specific needs of students with learning disabilities.

Take a virtual tour:

The College’s new building based at the Southgate Campus in Enfield provides a new and improved learning environment for disabled students and those with learning difficulties. The Supported Learning Department was split over two campuses in Southgate and Grahame Park in Colindale, but from September 2014 it is all based at the Southgate Campus.

The challenges that these students face throughout their lives are complex and demanding, but one critical factor is the need for an educational environment that helps each individual reach his or her potential in life.

The new Centre of Excellence provides this very place allowing students to learn in a safe environment entirely tailored to their needs. The Centre will make a life-changing difference to 200 students each year.

The inspirational building and facilities will help them develop vital communication, independent living and work skills to equip them with the best chance of being economically active and building a life in their local communities.

Students will have the support they need to realise their potential; learning through practical and vocational learning and therapies that develop living, working and communication skills enhanced by the superb Centre facilities that will include a:

  • Hydrotherapy pool
  • Sensory Room
  • Physiotherapy facility
  • Rebound room and specialist sports equipment
