This course is designed for those who are over 16 and want a career in Information and Communication Technology.
What qualifications or experience do I need ?
Applicants will need to have completed a GCSE course, but not achieved 2 D's and be operating above Entry Level in English and Maths
What will I study ?
This course concentrates on 3 areas of study
* Functional Skills - Maths, English and ICT;
* Personal and Social Development - Work Skills such as Managing Finance
* Vocational Studies in ICT - typical areas would Using the Internet, IT Fundamentals, Website Software
How will I be assessed ?
Assessment will be through:
* Coursework
* External Exams
What qualifications could I achieve ?
On successful completion of this course, you could achieve a BTEC Entry/Level 1 Diploma for IT Users, plus a BTEC Entry/Level 1 Award in Personal and Social Development and a Functional Skills qualification.
What can the course lead to ?
Students who successfully complete this course, could progress to BTEC First Diploma IT Users or to work.
