A student who wishes to study full-time to progress to university courses having recently achieved a range of GCSE and AS qualifications.
What qualifications or experience do I need ?
Two AS Levels at grades A - D including this subject. E grades will be considered on an individual basis. GCSE English Language grade B or above.
What will I study ?
(2a) Music Technology Portfolio. Here you will study multi-track recording, produce a backing track and write a detailed composition. (2b) Technical Analysis and Commentary.
How will I be assessed ?
Examination and practical.
What qualifications could I achieve ?
On successful completion of this subject, you will gain an A Level Certificate in Music Technology.
What can the course lead to ?
Further study in Music Technology and related subjects in Higher Education at degree or HND level.
How do I join the course ?
You must complete a full-time application form and make an appointment for an interview with a tutor. References will be required from your previous educational establishment.
