This course is for young people aged 16-24 who want to enter the world of work by working as interns with the support of job coaches in a variety of roles with a variety of employers, potentially including roles in catering, construction, maintenance and administration. Interns must be motivated to get a job.
Qualifications and experience are not needed but interns will need to hold a current Education, Health and Care Plan from their local authority and will need either to be able to travel independently or to make a commitment to become independent travellers by the end of the course.
In lessons on campus students will study Maths, English and Employability.
Maths and English will be assessed by Functional Skills exams or controlled assessments.
