This course is designed for those who wish to seek a career in ICT or who would like to progress to an ICT/Computing programme in Higher Education. This course runs at Wood Street and Southgate

Applicants must have the following qualifications: *5 GCSEs grade C or above in academic subjects (including English and Maths) *BTEC First Diploma in ICT (Distinction) *GNVQ Intermediate in ICT (Distinction) *Ability to pass a test at Level 2 in Communications To progress to Year 2, successful completion of Year 1

In total you will study 18 units - a number of core units including: *Computer Systems *Programming *Information Systems Plus a range of specialist units including: *Website Production and Management *Advanced Spreadsheet Skills *Digital Graphics and Computers *Computer Animation *Principles of Computer Networking

This course will have internal on-going assessment. Each unit/module will include a number of assessments.

On successful completion of this course, you will achieve BTEC National Extended Diploma for IT Users(equivalent to 3 A Levels).
