This course is for men and women aiming to work in the make-up industry as a freelance make up artist or working for a make up company.
Applicants must have passed a full Level 2 Make up Artistry qualification and hold a GCSE Maths and English qualification A-D (7/8-3).
Topics of study will include: working in the film, TV and theatre industry; creating historical hair and make-up looks; media make up; creative hair design; Fashion and photographic make-up; the creation and presentation of a look book and industry portfolio; applying body art; camouflage make up.
Both practical and theory areas will be assessed via practical assessments, written tests and assignments and verbal questioning. A portfolio of makeup design and application are also a key part of assessment.
On successful completion of all assessment requirements a Level 3 Technical Diploma in Makeup Artistry will be awarded.

Yes, you will need to meet a member of staff for an interview and an initial assessment.
A uniform, tools and equipment are required. Further advice will be given at interview. An optional text book is also recommended.
