This course is for young people aged 16 - 19 who want to be able work in business, retail or customer service or want to be self-employed or run their own business one day. This course will help students progress to L2 or even L3 business related courses or business courses or apprenticeships.

None, but motivation, determination to succeed and a good attitude towards learning are all vital. For the GCSE package you should have gained at least two GCSE's.

L1 Business: You will be studying a full Diploma in Level 1 Vocational Studies, with units in Business, Retail, Customer Services and ICT. You will also study English and maths. In addition, you will have a weekly tutorial with your own personal tutor and a work experience placement. GCSE Business: GCSE Business You will be able to study GCSE Business, GCSE English and GCSE Maths. You will also study the L1 Vocational Skills Certificate with a focus on Business, Customer Service and ICT Units. In addition, you will have a weekly tutorial with your own personal tutor and a work experience placement.

Assessment will be ongoing throughout the course.

You can achieve a whole range of qualifications (see above) at Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2.
