This course is for young people aged 16 - 19 who want to work in a technical trade in the future. This could include roles as an engineer, electrician, building maintenance, or transport technology. There are hundreds of different jobs or apprenticeships for people with technical skills.

None, but motivation, determination to succeed and a good attitude towards learning are all vital.

You will be studying a full Diploma in Level 1 Vocational Studies. Many of the units will relate to, Engineering, Electrical, Transport & Science. You will also study English and maths and ICT. Students with a GCSE grade 3 in English or maths will retake these GCSE's. In addition, you will have a weekly tutorial with your own personal tutor and a work experience placement.

Assessment will be ongoing throughout the course.

On successful completion of this course you will gain a Level 1 Vocational Diploma (Pass, Merit or Distinction), English and maths

Yes - but motivation and enthusiasm are more important than experience / qualifications. It is more of a discussion than an interview. We want to open the doors that are closed to you right now and an important part of this is seeing you in person and discussing how we can help. You will also sit an English and Maths assessment to help us have the right course for you.

You only need to provide basic equipment such as pens, paper, folders, calculators etc. We will supply the rest.
