Are you are excited by the prospect of working in areas such as robotics, product design, automotive technology, aerospace technology, the nuclear industry or telecommunications? If you have a keen interest in pursuing a career in engineering, this course will give you the experience and recognised qualifications you need.

You need to have at least 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C/B) and above; these should include English, maths and an additional science.

Topics covered in this course include: materials, mechanical and electrical principles, mathematics, Computer Aided Design (CAD), electronics, engineering science and fluid mechanics.

You will be assessed through a combination of practical tasks carried out in laboratories; a variety of engineering investigations, reports, presentations and coursework assignments will form the basis of your portfolio.
