This Level 4 qualification aims to provide professional development opportunities for practitioners working or volunteering in the school and college workforce. This qualification will embrace the wealth of experience, proven knowledge and skills of the learner in a teaching and learning environment. It will challenge the learner in both daily practice and theoretical understanding.

Learners must be at least 18 years old. They will need to be working or volunteering within a suitable setting (school or college) for the duration of the course, as they need to show competence in both skills and knowledge. A previous Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is required. Alternatively, learners may be considered based on their previous professional knowledge and skills.

You will attend college one day per week and will be in placement two days a week (minimum 12 hrs). This could be on a voluntary or paid basis. There are five (5) mandatory units to complete.

Assessment will be carried out by an online portfolio of work, and a direct observation by an assessor. You will be required to submit all assignments, reflective accounts and tasks via the online marking system.

NCFE CACHE Level 4 Certificate for the Advanced Practitioner in Schools and Colleges. Upon achievement of this qualification, the learner will be equipped as an Advanced Practitioner. The Advanced Practitioner will use crucial leadership skills to mentor others.
