For those who have completed the Introduction to Sewing Skills 1, or those with basic knowledge who wish to improve their sewing skills by making a personal project using a commercial pattern.

All are welcome - although some previous knowledge of sewing would be an advantage

Through demonstrations, discussion and practical one to one guidance. Students will be given the opportunity to further develop their sewing skills by using a commercial pattern to produce a personal garment. By the end of the course students should be able to take body measurements and make simple pattern adaptions, lay-up fabric and cut garments. Follow commercial sewing pattern instructions.

Classroom assessments

Please complete an application form and return to the College with your payment - either online, by post or in person at the Wood Street Campus.

No interview is required.

Basic materials included. Your tutor will advise of any additional costs at induction stage.
