This is a one year course, designed for those who are interested in pursuing artistic careers in the following creative digital industries: Computer games design & development, Computer-generated imagery & visual effects for television & film, 2D & 3D animation for games, television and film, Website and app design and development.
4 GCSE graded at 8/9-3 (A*-D, preferably including English, Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and/or English, or a Level 1 qualification in a related area.
This is a specialist course looking at how technology is used to create and develop the visual side of computer animation, games design and visual effects. You will develop the research, theory and technical skills that you will require to progress a career in the creative digital sector.
Coursework is assessed throughout the year.
UAL: Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology.

Most of the materials will be provided, but it is advisable to invest in a selection of media storage equipment and materials, so that you can continue your work outside of the studios.
Students may be required to study Functional Skills or GCSE English and/or maths as part of their programme.
