What courses can students study?

Students are strongly encouraged to study a sports course at Barnet and Southgate College to gain the full benefits of the Rugby Education Academy programme. This will allow them to learn about nutrition, fitness, psychology, health and safety, sports coaching, business, development and many other areas related to the sports industry; as well as allowing them to attend all the training sessions, gain relevant industry work experience and undertake Level 1 and Level 2 Coaching Awards in Rugby and other Sports. In addition students can study for a CYQ Fitness Instructor qualification at Level 1 or 2. All these qualifications give students an excellent start towards a career in the game or wider sports industry.

Students will also be assisted with their progression opportunities; whether this is university, employment, work experience or playing opportunities in the UK or abroad.

Who coaches the rugby players?

The Rugby Education Academy is led by an experienced team of qualified coaches from the Saracens Sports Foundation and London Skolars and supported by the RFL  and RFU .
