Applications and enrolments

Overview

If you are you ready to apply for a course starting in September 2013:

Please follow one of the options below:

  • APPLY ONLINE  -  Browse our full time courses  ; when you have found your chosen course, click the ‘apply’ button which appears on the right side of the course details and submit your application electronically.
  • BY POST   :  Download an application form , complete every section, and send it to the campus  where your course will take place - contact our Customer Services  team if you need help with this.
  • IN PERSON   : Drop in at one of our campuses, ask for a form and complete it fully. Hand it into one of the Customer Services staff.

When you apply by any of these methods you will receive confirmation that we received your application within 7 days.

You will also need to get a teacher or employer to fill in a Reference form .

As soon as we have interview slots available you will be invited in to attend an interview for your chosen course 

For some courses you don’t need to apply but can enrol on- line; if this is possible for your chosen course, you will see the ‘enrol’ button on the right hand side of your course details when going through the on-line application process. Just click on this button to complete your on-line enrolment.

Taster sessions

If you are currently at school, ask your school if they are involved in one of our bespoke school taster sessions. These can be arranged by contacting: marketing@barnetsouthgate.ac.uk .

 

Want a part time course?

Our part time courses offer flexible study options for those who work, have family commitments or wish to take a shorter course.

We still have some courses running for the remainder of this academic year - take a look at our list of part time courses that will enrol in April 2013 and beyond .

Part time courses for the coming year at Barnet and Southgate College are currently in development, and a new guide and application process will be online soon.

However, to get a flavour of the part time courses we offer please download our  2012-13 Part Time Course Guide (Please note that this guide may not fully reflect the courses on offer for 2013-14.)

 

When you come in for an interview / enrolment

Please ensure that you bring all necessary ID documentation*, up to date proof of benefit (if applicable), exam results and anything else you have been asked to provide in your invitation to interview.

Do bear in mind that enrolment can take up to two hours, but may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

Please also note that we do not have creche facilities at our campuses so please try to avoid bringing small children with you if at all possible.

*Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • Passport / Travel document
  • Home Office documentation
  • ARC / IND card for Asylum Seekers
  • EU Identity Card
  • UK / EU Driving Licence (only for people who have been UL and EU nationals for over 3 years)
  • If under 19, exam certificates / results slips are acceptable

 

Enrolment sessions August / September 2013

Our main enrolment period will be from Thursday 22 August until Saturday 07 September (please see specific sessions below).
However we will be enrolling for many courses throughout the summer - so why not beat the rush and come in before August?
